Recommended Computer Requirements for the Exam

Check that your computer meets the following recommended Computer Requirements.

14" screen with 1920 x 1080 screen resolution

8 hours under normal use


Devices you can't use in Exams
Safe Exam Browser can’t be installed on the following devices: 
  1. Mac
  2. iPads
  3. Chromebooks.
  4. Smartphones: this includes iPhones, Android devices, and any other mobile OS devices

Antivirus
The following antivirus software will need to be temporarily disabled or uninstalled when using Safe Exam Browser:
- 360 Total Security
- ESET Nod32 Antivirus Internet security
- Kaspersky Internet Security.

Adjust your Laptop settings 
Sleep settings 
If you have a Windows PC or Laptop, set the sleep settings
- Click the Start menu, then search for Power & sleep settings.
- Under On battery power, turn off after, select 1 hour.

Windows region settings
If you have a Windows PC or Laptop, set your region to the location where you’ll be sitting your exam. 
- Click the Start menu, then search for Region settings.
- Under Country or region, select the location.
